Dr Ruth Wilde

Dr Ruth Wilde MBBCh MRCEM AFMCP is an integrative medicine doctor with a broad generalist background, who specialises in the sports and rehabilitation field, as well as in health optimisation.
Ruth spent 17 years in the British military, working in many different locations and environments around the world. She trained in both emergency medicine and general practice, and supported severely injured military personnel through their recovery at the esteemed Defence Military Rehabilitation Centre.
In addition, both Ruth and her husband, also a former military doctor, have had first hand experience of injury and rehabilitation and both have made significant changes to their lives and career pathways as a result. Ruth has tremendous personal insight into the determination and commitment it takes to work through physical and emotional challenges and to re-establish an equilibrium that brings fulfilment. She supports her patients to work through their own challenges, and offers insight and guidance to help them build better foundations for their future and longterm health.
From 2020, Ruth has worked extensively with the Strength for Endurance athlete community, providing education and integrative medical support to help them achieve their health and performance goals.
Ruth and her husband now live in Canada and Ruth continues to offer an international advisory service online. She has a thirst for continuous learning and is currently studying sports nutrition. She is an experienced instructor for the UK Resuscitation Council, a member of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine and the Institute of Functional Medicine, and has qualifications in Wellbeing Coaching and Personal Training.
